That's the size of Baby Swiderski this week! She is 2.5 pounds and about 15" long. Baby Center says "Every day, about 200 milligrams of calcium is deposited in your baby's skeleton" so no wonder your baby's nutritional needs skyrocket during the 3rd trimester.
I'm sure that's why my belly has been itching a lot lately...and why at the doctor's last week she said "well, you've gained another 5 pounds. That's about normal". What I want to know is what does about mean!! Kristin says the weight gain slows down after this...but maybe not w/chocolate shakes from Potbelly's and a mint oreo blizzard during writing class tomorrow (thanks Kim!!).
Oh - and I'm not in love with that weird dark line running from the top of my belly to the bottom. I don't actually mind that it's there, what I do mind is that the line above my belly button is not in the same place as the line below my belly button. It could at least be symmetrical!! (That would be the anal part of me passed down from Gpa Mark - thanks!).
I gained the most my 7th month. WHEW! Just keep putting on the belly butter! Remember: you are SUPPOSED to gain weight! You want your baby to be big and healthy! plus, maybe it's an old wives tale, but they say big babies eat better and sleep better!!! so...
ReplyDeleteMmmmm....belly butter. I'll be sure to keep eating to make sure she sleeps!
ReplyDeleteI'm just here to help...any time you're in the mood for a Blizzard, we can meet-even half-way from your house! I know, the sacrafices I make for baby girl. And the line, well, it does disappear after the baby comes, so you have that to look forward to! I second the belly butter. It felt nice!
