Apples, Apples, Apples!

This weekend, Mitch and Kalin joined us for our annual visit to the apple orchard.  We tried a new spot this year - Deardorff Orchards and Vineyards. I think this is the best one yet - and not just because of the vineyard!

We took wagon ride out to the Honeycrisp section and then went hunting!

There may have been a few tasting apples picked.

Like uncle, like niece.

We found a new apple-picking system.

We also tried different shoulders, to see if that would help us find the juiciest apples.

Robert Frost once said...

Once our bags were full of apples, we hopped on the wagon and headed back to the farm.

We found a picturesque lunch spot beneath the leaves.

Our lunch began with an aperitif of apple cider and apple donuts, followed by hot dogs and chips.  Mmmm, mmm!

I just love these donuts SO MUCH!

Then Claire and Kalin picked out their pumpkins.

There were a ton of great photo-op spots, but our little one was getting a bit tired.  Hence the end of photos!  Next year we'll have pictures of the petting zoo, and hopefully the wine tasting!
