This weekend we attended the annual Mulligan Masters (family reunion at Castle Rock Golf Course). We headed out Friday night to the cabin - with Mitch and Kalin in tow. Our new routine is to meet at home, feed Claire dinner and then get on the road. This helps avoid the last hour of crying as she is usually sleeping J
Cousin Molly was a huge help and found 2 babysitters for all the cousins’ kids. So Saturday am we drove from the cabin to Molly’s house to drop Claire off with Dylan and Carson (Demaske), Abby and Joe (Micksch) and Olivia (Van Pee – Alex went golfing). After a fantastic day of golfing (fantastic company and beverages but not so fantastic shots!) we brought Claire back to meet all her extended family for dinner. She was a trooper and made it past 7pm!
Ryan and I left early so Claire could sleep (it didn’t hurt that that also meant we got to go to bed before 10pm!). Then this morning the “men” took out the dock while Kalin and I watched Claire (and the Packer game). Then we all took one last cruise (no booze this time) around the lake on the pontoon before leaving. It’s kind of amazing to think that the next time Claire rides on the boat she’ll be walking! Yikes!
It is definitely fall so mom and daughter were in matching hats. Ryan calls us the following: truffles or - for those of you fans of Super Mario Bros, “1-Up" (see resemblence to the mushroom below)...

Oh wait, now they're smiling!
Hangin' with Dad on the pontoon.
I can't believe how big she looks in this picture!
