This year we changed things up and headed down to Bonita Springs, FL to celebrate Thanksgiving. We met up with Grammy, Pop Pop, Auntie Kristin, Uncle Dan and Cousin Liz and spent a week at the pool, hunting alligators, eating sand at the beach, taking sunset cruises (or one cruise), and eating Turkey - not a bad week if I do say so myself.
Beware - we took a lot of photos...and brought a lot of luggage.
Meeting up with part of the crew at the airport. Liz is really excited (she also had a cold and had just gotten her MMR shot).
Grammy and Pop Pop made sure the girls had matching pjs.
Grammy and her girls. The pool!! It was like bath water - amazing! It took Claire a bit to get used to the water, but then she had fun.
Happy Thanksgiving!I don't have the picture but Claire had a good time smearing mashed potatoes all over my arm....I loved every minute!
Getting all the mashed potatoes out of our hair.
Our sunset cruise from the river out to the Gulf. Claire had her doubts.
Grammy and Pop Pop watched the girls so mom, dad, auntie and uncle could hang out a bit on their own- we should bring them on all our vacations!
You'll see this one in the near future (that is if you're on our Christmas card list).
Claire was NOT a fan of the ocean. We tried several times to get her toes wet, then she clung like a spider monkey to us the rest of the day (until we left her with Garmmy to go get drinks).
A little time in the sand.
Mmmmmm...seashells are delicious!
Matching outfit #2! And apparently Liz likes Claire's car seat :)
Ok, you might want to take a bathroom break now...here comes our marathon family picture day.
Part 1: The Lanai
Part 2: The Pool
Trying to make the girls smile...it was getting close to nap time.
This was our attempt at a "kids and kids" photo.
Now our attempt at Swiderski family photo:
These did not make the Christmas card.
