9 months

Grammy and Pop Pop were in town and accompanied us to our 9-moth check up.  It's nice because they kept Claire busy while I asked all my questions!
Stats:
Height - 28.5" (82%)
Weight - 19lb 1oz (56%)
Head - 17 3/4 (81%)

Tricks:
- Starting to do "real" crawling (a few moves on her knees, then she goes back to army crawling)
- Pushing herself from a crawling to sitting position
- biting: mom does NOT enjoy this.  Maybe it's a teething then, but when she gives you hugs she also likes to nibble.  The nibbling gets harder when she gets tired or hungry!
- excellent cord hunter

Claire now can also eat real people foods!  We've started finger foods (fruits and veggies) and she's getting much better at aiming for her mouth.  Now her only restrictions are fish, honey and eggs.  Though Grammy and Pop Pop decided it might be fun for Claire to try potatoes...in the fried, salted version. I guess grandparents really do get to spoil their grand kids.

Grammy and Pop Pop took Claire overnight to St. Cloud and mom and dad got a date night (and got to sleep in - though we both still woke up at 6).  We then walked in a blizzard to get breakfast at the Pancake House (Ryan helped 2 ladies get their cars unstuck). Then from breakfast we made the trek to Goodyear to get our car (with its new snow tires).  From there we drove up to St. Cloud to relieve Grammy and Pop Pop.

9-month photo shoot:
This is an example of Claire's excellent cord hunting skills(the cords were at least semi-hidden).

This looks like it might be delicious...

Here Mr. Bear - you try!

  1. And with Ryan as her father, there are lots and lots of cords around to discover. I think it's also time for the electrical outlet baby guards.
