Part 2: Lac Gilbert
After the festivities in Madison we loaded the car (seriously - to the brim! We even added 2 new baby gates just to make sure we didn't have any room left.
We had a lovely Christmas Eve, we even made it to mass! Though I don't think we would have made it through the entire mass (plus 1/2 hour of a concert) if we didn't have 5 adults to pass Claire along to. We even made friends next to us that helped entertain her. Following tradition, we had a lovely meal (fancy apps) and then fell asleep watching A White Christmas.
Here is a video of some Christmas Eve sledding.
Claire was our quality assurance check for wrapping (she was also the bow-taker-offer for all gifts).
Family Christmas photo :)
Are we done yet guys?
Christmas morning. Claire is checking out the sleigh that Gpa refinished for her. His grandpa made it for him and apparently his grandma made a fur insert! We'll have to look for that.
But for now a pillow will work. FYI - this is right before Claire took a face dive out of the sleigh. Very exciting.
Now it's filled with presents!! Literally, they were all for Claire.
Loving her new toy (Violet) from Uncle Max and Mo.
Playing on the lake with Dad. (You may not be able to tell but this is the ice rink. Gpa is still working on that).
Hugs.
Hangin' with Uncle Max.
and don't forget Mo!
Um guys...a little help?
Just one more - because she's so darn cute! (I'm sure we'll take this many pictures of our next child...)
Then we had to make sure the sleigh was working. I think she's really enjoying herself.
There's a smile!
And here's the live-action sleigh ride.
