We took our annual trip to DC for Memorial Day. As always, it was a fun-filled weekend of food, wine, Garrison Keilor - all with just a touch of humidity! (Though, oddly I'm writing this on a July day that had a head index of 117 degrees).
Where's Pop Pop you ask? Sill you, just find one of the girls and you'll find him! Wish I knew what they were thinking (or listening to) at this moment!
Coolest cousins around!
Prodigies??
Did I mention it was hot?
Ryan, Pop Pop and I took the girls to a fantastic park in McLean. Only problem was, the rubber "floor" made it feel about 20 degrees warmer than it actually was!
I think Claire would have enjoyed the carousel, if she wasn't melting :) In case you can't read the t-shirt Uncle Dan got her it says "My goal is to be as intelligent and good looking as my mom" (ok, maybe it says uncle not mom).
Seriously guys, it's hot. Can I take some of these clothes off?
Ok, now this is more like it!
The only comfortable place outdoors.
This one cracks me up.
This is Claire's very serious "I'm riding a wooden elephant - don't mess with me" face.
Instructing Grammy on how to use an Magna-Doodle (genius toy for the plane).
Cooling off again.
We took this opportunity of being together to take a family photo. Unfortunately we missed our original appointment (on Saturday am) and the only available spot was in the afternoon... I wouldn't call this time Claire's "freshest" part of the day.
Ever heard the phrase 'like herding cats'?? Ok, it was more like 'herding cat', guess which cat we chased around the studio??
Smile!
Huh, I think we hung out with Kristin and Dan too...wonder where the pictures of them are...
