Seize the Day

This past weekend was MEA (now known as Education Minnesota Fall Professional Conferences...we'll just say MEA).

This was the first time in 8 years that we didn't travel for MEA - my was it nice!  Ryan took most of Friday off, and we took advantage of the gorgeous fall weather with a picnic at the arboretum.

Claire enjoyed checking out the gourds and pumpkins on display.  She tried to bounce a few of them (yelling "ba" - or ball - though they didn't bounce so well).

We tried to get Claire to sit with Daddy on the wooden throne...no go.

There were too many pumpkins to explore.

She was trying to give this one to the pumpkin statue (see next photo).

Super glue anyone? Maybe then we could get her to sit for 1 second.

She wasn't too sure about the pumpkin spider (he had apples for eyes!).

Claire-sized walking stick.

(Insert Forest Gump accent) - "From that day on if she was going somewhere, she was running!"

Lunch time!

I'm sure Ryan is imparting pearls of incredible wisdom.
