New Year's at the Cabin

Once all our visiting family left (phew!) we had a few days to do laundry, finish Christmas shopping and pack for the cabin. Kalin, Mitch, Ryan and I headed down on New Year's Eve to join Gpa Mark and Gma Ellen for the festivities.

Gpa Mark had, of course, already plowed half of the lake to make a skating rink. He also added "mouse ears" to the end of the oblong rink (use your imagination...they didn't really look like mouse ears...). We had steak and lobster - yum! And I even had a 1/2 a glass of champagne....mmmmm. We also did Christmas that night. Our party was so exciting that Kalin fell asleep in front of the fire place and Gpa Mark had to take a nap! We woke them up at 11:30!!! We then proceeded to polish off one whole bottle of champagne!! Woah!! Crazy party :)

All joking aside, it was nice to be at the cabin and finally relax a bit. We also decided that this would definitely be the last New Year's when we got bored. It would also be the last where we got to sleep in the next day!

This was our last trip before the baby! Now we're staying in town until the big day.
