Heat Wave 2012 - part 1

AKA, the 4th of July.  I realize that some people (ahem, Trisha) may not like 90 degree heat, but I am ALL FOR IT!  I absolutely love that you can't stand outside for more than 7 seconds without needing to jump into a lake!

So, needless to say, the weeks surrounding the 4th have been awesome!  The week prior to the 4th, Claire and I spent at the pool, then the beach, then the pool and then back to the beach.  Heaven.

Grammy Betsy and PopPop Paige (say that 3 times fast) came into town the weekend before the 4th for a visit.  We had a little bbq at our place.  This was also the last dinner party that we'll have at Preswick as we're moving into our apartment next weekend.  Still on the house hunt!


Claire (and several friends) have taken to doing chalk drawings on our sidewalk and steps.

The only unfortunate part is that it hasn't rained in a while...

...so be careful where you sit Grammy!

I think it was worth it though...

Cheers Auntie Trisha!  (Who, by the way was not late this time!)  Side note - we taught Claire to say "Trisha late" while slamming her hand down on the table every time Trisha walks in our door.  Hilarious.

Kalin and Mitch - I'll let you thank me later for not posting the picture where both of you had your eyes closed.

 And, you can't end an evening without a little airplane!

They seem to be conspiring...
