New Tricks

Claire has quite a few new ticks (sleeping through the night still being one of them - yeah!).  She's also still smiling a lot and cooing.  My favorite part of the day is first thing in the morning when I (or Ryan) go get her because she is super duper happy then!

Trick 1: sitting in the bumbo.  Ryan had her do this while I was out working on my paper at Caribou.  No fair - no firsts when I'm not there!

Trick 2: not screaming during tummy time!!  We started physical therapy yesterday and the therapist suggested we put her at an angle (on the boppy or on a knee) as opposed to flat on the ground - genius!! 

For those of you who don't know, we are going to PT now because Claire has left torticollis (she always wants to put her head to her right).  So we have 3 exercises to do each day (3-4 times per day for 5-10 seconds each) plus tummy time.  We'll go once a week for the next month (when we're no longer on my insurance!) and then see where we go from there.  I've heard from many people that this is easy to fix when they are young - so that's what we're doing!

This is hard work! (Hence the tongue sticking out).  Oh and don't worry Gma Ellen, now she can see her Tinkerbell quilt better (up higher AND not screaming) :)

Trick 3: sucking her thumb.  She's been able to find a finger or thumb for a few weeks but she is getting her thumb more consistently.  (She actually has it right now- so it's like you're seeing her LIVE!! Though she has a different outfit on now...).  I've noticed she mostly sucks her thumb when she's getting tired - how cute! (And now she's asleep, see it's like you're right here with us!!)

Trick 4: getting Dad to brush her hair after a bath.

Trick 5: getting Dad to look like a crazy person (I'll keep other comments to myself...)
