I must say I have had quite a wonderful first Mother's Day. We started the morning with a quiet breakfast while Claire napped. Ryan made quiche lorraine and a fruit salad (yum!!). He was quite impressed with his culinary skills - I, however, never had a doubt. Then we went to church. Claire has been extremely good at church every time we've gone. This time was no different, she slept the whole time!! She even skipped her normal feeding time! After church we took our picnic lunch and headed to the arboretum (with the rest of MN). We had a nice walk, picnic and even bought some plants that I potted when we got home.
Claire still hadn't eaten by the time we got to the arboretum (5 hours since her am feeding!) so woke her up and made her eat!
We walked the less traveled path with the Bob (our jogging stroller) and then found the "perfect" bench for our lunch (By perfect I mean we passed up about 5 previous benches and we were hungry, it did have a nice view though).
I got the family photo I wanted as well :)
I think Claire liked her first trip to the arboretum.
I'm not quite sure what the wink means...maybe Happy Mother's Day? Or...geez it's bright out here!
Though not as cute (as Claire), we did also see some nice flowers.
