Que Bonita!!

Ok, so being that I am a mom I think that entitles me to some bragging rights...

Obviously we think our daughter is the most adorable thing on the planet.  However, I kind of LOVE the fact that a lot of other people think she is pretty cute too (excluding family and close friends who are required to think that).

Last week I was checking out a nearby daycare that does French and Spanish immersion.  The director who I was talking with kept saying how beautiful Claire was.  "There is something about her face!" she kept saying in a thick Spanish accent.  Then we walked into the infant room to take a peak and what do I hear but "Que bonita!".  My one semester of Spanish came in handy there.  "Why thank you" I replied :)  (Note I did not say "gracias" as this would imply that I speak Spanish and then get me into trouble).

So you might think, what's the big deal?  But this honestly happens more often than not when we go out.  Today at the gym (read the next blog to hear of our adventure there!) a woman asked how old Claire was.  She then commented on how much hair she had.  She continued with "Wow, she's beautiful!  She has cute little eyes and a perfect nose" (yes Gpa Mark, perfect.  Must come from her mother).  But then she went on to tell me that I should have her in advertising!!

Also during our baptism class a mom (with her own child) came up to us and said "You really do have a beautiful baby".  How sweet!  We also did have a grandma in church tell how how beautiful she was, but I figure all grandmas think all babies are cute.

Today in physical therapy Joanna (our therapist) commented (again) on how cute Claire is.  She also mentioned that she was in Target recently and heard a mom (in response to a compliment about her baby) say, "And I never get tired of hearing that".  So maybe that will be my new mantra, because honestly - I DON'T get tired of hearing it!!
