We survived our first long trip to the cabin! Claire did quite well - yeah! (She slept most of the way). I guess I had never thought about how to do a long trip - feeding, changing etc. I didn't realize we would we doing a combination of the following: driving through Caribou to get hot water for the bottle, then just nursing in the Caribou parking lot, stopping to burp, stopping to get gas, stopping to get dinner, feeding in the car seat, stopping to burp, changing diapers in the back seat, climbing from the front seat to the back seat to stop a crying baby, climbing back into the front seat, and pumping in both the front seat and back seat of the Rogue! Phew!
The cabin (thanks to Gma and Gpa) was all set up for us - well Claire really. When we arrived we found a pack and play all set up in our bedroom (which we then quickly took down and put in Uncle Max's room!). There was also a bouncy seat, swing and shopping cart toy, toy trumpet and doll named Sophie all ready for Claire :) Ryan took the following week off so we hung out with Gma and Gpa during the weekend and then just the three of us during the week. We made fires, took walks and day trips around the cabin. Aaaahhhh, relaxation!
We bundled Claire up in her sleeping bag by the fire.
Claire got in some good snuggle time with Gma Ellen.
We also found out that she likes to sleep in front of the fire - just like mom!
We brought Claire down to the lake for the first time.
I think she really enjoyed it.
We also took a walk in a park in Appleton with 2 miles of boardwalks.
Though Ryan looks extremely manly and cook pushing the snap and go I think he's excited for our jogger to arrive.
Mom and Dad took turns for the night/early morning feedings (yeah!!). Dad got a few smiles in return :)
MOLLY!!! YOU all look wonderful! I miss you, but Cassie has been doing a super job. We love you and are so happy for you and Ryan! See you soon, Anita
