Uncle Max and Gpa Mark stopped by last night to visit Claire (and us). They are actually on their way out west for a ski trip - don't get me started on that...(as I wanted to go last year knowing what was hopefully in store for this year!! But I said I wouldn't get started...) We had a lovely spaghetti dinner, wine and pumpkin bread. The best part was they needed to eat early and get on the road so everyone was gone by 7:30! (and mom was in bed by 9:30).
It must have been quite an exciting night - meeting her uncle Max, seeing Gpa Mark and getting fed her bottle by uncle Mitch - because Claire slept from 9:00pm to 3:30am!!! WOAH!!! (That is unless I was so tired that I slept through a crying session...but I don't think that was the case).
Uncle Max's first words to his niece were "I'll try not to be too creepy". How nice :) He doesn't look too creepy here:
After holding Claire for a while Max said "ok, someone else can take her now...I need a drink". Kalin and I agreed that it's a good thing the woman carries the child for 9 months. Apparently men wouldn't last more than 10 minutes!
Uncle Mitch remarked that Claire sure does throw her head around a lot. Then I suggested maybe he hold her head :) It's actually very cute to see him with her. He was jealous when Kalin brought me lunch last week and he couldn't come with to see her. aawwww!!
Gpa Mark decided she is much cuter when she isn't fussing.
We say the same thing about him :)
